Now that the weather has decided to grace us with a heat wave, everyone’s flocking to the coolest local spot, the beach. Everyone’s got the swim suit down but there’s more to it. Just last week we gave you a break down of some of our top beach in the downtown core, now here’s 6 things you need to make it the BEST beach day.

 

 

Beach Bag 

To those people who walk onto the beach, hands overflowing, things dropping, stumbling through the sand to grab a spot. Honestly, just get a beach bag. Throw in your towel, sunscreen, food, water, drinks. It will literally take things off your hands for you and makes for easy transportation if you’re looking to roam around or get a bite to eat.

Don’t have to worry about sand living in your bag for the rest of its life. Let’s be honest, once sand gets in, it never really gets out.

Beach Towel

 We’re looking at you grungy, old bath towel. There’s a reason we have bath towels and beach towels. Bath towels use much fluffier Terry Cloth to be soft and comfortable but it means sand gets caught and is very hard to get out. Beach towels use a short Terry Cloth so it traps less sand and is easy to shake off. Get yourself a proper beach towel. You’re not going to regret it.

Cover Ups

 I know this might not seem like a necessity but let's just talk about it for a sec. Cover-up are made to easy, breezy, and pair great with a swimsuit. Have a great cover-up also usually means you're covered if you're looking to venture away from the beach for some lunch, shopping, or other events and you wont have to worry about being kicked out. Remember, no shirt, no service.
